I like Scott Adams' stuffs but I generally find him too over the top. He's the master of the nerdy whines and probably a very unpleasant and unsociable person to hang around.
I think idolise such a person is where you're going wrong...try to idolise someone more main stream and much dumber like Justin Timberlake...girls dig that...but your friends, i.e. me, will probably laugh at you and call you a gay weirdo...not that there's anything wrong with being gay...your sexual preference is your own business...I stop now...
